A key factor that sets the Tempest apart from many other complete weather stations is the wind refresh rate.
A packet of data is sent from the outdoor transmitter to the hub every 3 seconds. This means when you look out the window and see the wind blowing,
the weather station will reflect it almost immediately.
The Integrated Sensor combines a haptic rain sensor, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and sonic wind sensors into one package.
The Tempest includes the following features.
- The built-in radiation shield provides excellent protection from solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat for accurate temperature and humidity readings.
- Sonic wind sensor can stand up to hurricane-force winds, yet is sensitive to the lightest breeze. Records wind speeds as low as 1 mph and as high as 100 mph.
- Installs easily and quickly on poles from 1.00” to 1.25” in diameter. Pole not included.
- Integrated sensor contains a built-in battery charged from the integrated solar panels.

Weather Flow Wind Meter $59
The WeatherFlow WINDmeter is a highly accurate handheld device used with your smartphone to measure wind.
The device connects wirelessly up to 100 feet away. Record weather data in the free Wind & Weather Meter app.
Note:
Device does not have an internal magnetometer. The direction heading is obtained from the connected mobile device's compass heading.

Paging Transmitter Kit $450
Add a paging transmitter kit to any weather station to get up to the minute weather and prediction data
when you are in the staging lanes. The transmitter ensures that you can receive pages up to 2 miles away
(line of sight). The durable pager has excellent reception with up to 8-line display and back light.
The kit includes a serial to USB adapter, antenna cable and mount. Add optional
permanent antenna mount for mounting an antenna to the trailer.
